Speaker replacement suggestions for Hi-Fi
Okay, So my new 08 MC is on its way. Ive been reading about all the various issues people have with the Hi-Fi system. I will be getting this one as it is a part of my Premium package. Im considering some aftermarket speakers for the front doors.
I do want to stress that I will be leasing this vehicle so alterations would have to be easy to reverse. Is this possible?
Also, what speakers (brands etc) would you suggest for replacement in the front doors that are both cost-effective and EASY TO INSTALL?

First - the only issue people have with the hifi is sound quality of the speakers. There aren't any other problems. The sound quality may be good enough for YOU as it is fine for many people. Some of us just expect more. Some of those expect ALOT more.
If you want easy then just replace the fronts. There are many threads that have beaten this topic to death. A good one to start on is:

you can also look at the first page of threads in this audio forum. Just a quick glance showed me at least 2 other thread titles asking the exact same question.

I suggest you wait until after you put 1,000+ miles on your leased Mini before you even think about messing with the speakers. You wont find any speakers that will be plug-n-play and I haven't even seen retail adapters for the R56.
