I need your help.

I ordered a 2008 sidewalk, it comes with the HK system - I also ordered the Digital Sound Module -- my dealership spent days trying to make it work prior to realizing that it is not compatible.

I am getting my car this week and I do NOT want the HK system, my personal opinion of it is very low.

I would like your opinion on this set up through Crutchfield:

Pioneer DEH-P9800BT CD Receiver with Bluetooth
130SIRPNR2 Pioneer SIR-PNR2 Sirius Satellite Radio Add-on
500MRPF600 Alpine MRP-F600 100W x 4 Multi Channel Power Amp
107DB6501 Polk Audio db6501 6-1/2" Component System
107DB5251 Polk Audio db5251 5-1/4" Component System

12" solo Baric Kicker
Alpine MRP-M650 600 Watt

I am not 100% that my Iphone can stream audio or not -- if not I will need to choose a different head unit.

Cost is not an issue - I want the best I can get into my car. My wants are the use of my Iphone's Ipod and Sirius - the head unit above needs the Sirius module added to it (adds $100) any thoughts, feedback, suggestions greatly appreciated !! I don't care for Bluetooth cell's build into cars -- so its not needed.

I believe you posted in the wrong place. This belongs in the 1'st generation MINI forum.

Thanks for moving my post Krut.

I might not want to swap out the headunit after all. If I do, I will probably lose the 6 CD changer, Ipod adapter and the stearing wheel funtions. What are your thoughts on swapping out speakers and amps and keeping the headunit and installing Clean Sweep ?

I love my HK and the aux input which we just figured out (sorta). We plug in the nano we won at a Spurs game and leave the iphone in the little cupholder where we can't take any calls because of all the gear-shifting going on and besides who wants to talk on the phone (or text or surf the web or look up he location of places) when driving is SO MUCH FUN!!!

Good luck with your stereo upgrades. Hope you're on the road soon.

I want the car today but I doubt it will happen. I demo'd the HK and It doesn't deliver what I demand of a system. At low levels its ok, at volume its highs are pitchy and bass is rather poor paper punch -- unacceptable for me.

I am currently looking into Focal components, something I put in my C70 that I was/am very impressed with.
