Ok , got the head unit in, noit much room for all the wies but i go it all in and have the rca's and remote wire tucked up in the cover under the steering wheel for now till i figure out how to get the side rails under the door in th ebody off to hide them all the way to the back. i got eh door panals off only to realize i have to make a 1 1/4 inch thick adapter so my magnets don't hit the power window rails lol well im off to bed its late so i will try more later, i have to mount 2 amps and wire them up should be easy since my battery is in the rear.

What front speakers are you using that require a 1.25" spacer? I'm looking at the Infinity Kappa 60.7cs speakers for my convertible, and the top-mount depth is 2-3/16", which I *think* will fit without spacers.

Also, did you find a reference that told you how to remove the front door panel, or did you figure it out on your own? I'm looking for the same information.

There is another screw behind the armrest pad. You have to slide something thin between the actual armrest and the pad to release a clip and then the armrest pad slides off.

Glad to help. Do you mean the door sills? Those are held on by a bunch of clips I believe, and you have to remove the metal door sill insert to get to some screws. People have described using a hot knife to loosen the adhesive and get those metal sill inserts off.

Ok, i give up in the friggin hk amp, i got the door speakers set, had to cut into the harness under the dash and run wires back to my amp, wich is not in yet, ran the rca's from the new deck back also. getting the rear panals off is a pain in the A#@ in a convertable, it got so cold i gave up after getting the seats and crap out, it looks like the top has to come down to get the panals off, its dark and im beat lol so i will leave it apart and do more another time, there are 6" round speakers back there not 6X9's, I have not decided on where to put my 2 amps yet but i like the fact the battery is in the boot area.

I guess the amp is under the passenger seat in the convertables.

I have an 06, theres a toex screw under the round reflector on the door panal, there one under the arm rest pad, to get the pad off on my 06 you have to slide a thin thin butter knife or plastic knife under the forward part of the rest to release the clip that hod it in place. the res of the screws you can see, there might be one under the tweeter cover too, i can;t remeber i did it so long ago. hope this helps
