I'm playing with the code from https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...ad.php?t=35319 but I seem to have some trouble with it. I could not find anything on the web (including the HackTheIBus group) which documents the SIRIUS/HK communication. So, does anyone have a SIRIUS Satellite receiver as well as the Resler i-Bus interface and would be willing to post some logs?

I have both the OEM SIRIUS receiver and a Resler iBus interface... but I won't be able to help you test until after my car is back from the shop - whenever that is! Sorry! If nobody else has been able to help by then, remind me.

I know this is an ancient thread, but I'm using David Broome's code as a starting point and have hacked up a Python script that makes the stock CD53 head unit think a Sirius receiver is installed. There are still some missing pieces, however. I'm only able to get 8 or 9 characters of text to show on the display, and scrolling doesn't work as I'd expect. I think there's some additional negotiation between the head unit and my code. Would anyone be willing to help me sniff the traffic between a stock head unit and the Sirius receiver? I can provide hardware and a Python script that should do the job… Bonus points if you're near Boston! :D
