What song do you use to show off your kick *** hi-fi upgrade in your MINI?
Maybe.....AC/DC - Back in Black
Your being facetious right? If you play any AC/DC in the MINI HiFi stock system at any volume higher than 3 (out of 10), you will hear nothing but clipping paper speakers. change all the speakers out, and it may be another story.
Since the Mini does not have a kick-*** hif-fi, I don't demo it. But one cd that sounds uncommonly good on it is the latest one from Red Hot Chili Peppers. I forget the name of it; it's a double disc one.

I know the stock Hi-Fi is not worth demo'ing, but I was wondering what the people who have upgraded speakers and maybe added a nice sub in the back are playing to show off the UPGRADE!!

Does your Mini have some kind of volume indicator? Back in Black sounds ok on mine at medium to low volume.

Whatever is playing. Cannonball Adderley is good. Early Beatles sound good. Opera sounds good. The ending theme from Ghost in the Shell sounds good. White Rabit from Jefferson Airplane sounds good. Take Five from Dave Brubeck sounds good...
I don't have the hi-fi, but whenever I test out a new set up, it's The Brazilian by Genesis off the Invisible Touch cd. Yeah yeah, old school ... but it still kicks butt. That's my designated cave-in-my-skull track.
Well, if you look at my sig, you'll see that I no longer have a stock radio, and never had the "hi-fi" system either. I did a total aftermarket upgrade of the best gear (personal preferences) and if you want to hear a very loud (hair moving sub) and clear system, come sit in my car and listen to:
MTV by Dire Straits
Thriller - Michael Jackson
Material World - Madonna
Abbey Road - Beatles
Sledgehammer - Peter Gabriel
I can go on and on if you'd like and yes, the stock/HI-FI systems SUCK WIND in our cars!
