Yes, I'm not looking to to the replace the OEM though. Also translation of that page makes it very unclear which units that antenna works with.

Was looking at doing a stealth install of this. More trying to determine if it would give me added functionality/accuracy reception in more difficult areas or if it would just be adding wire to the car.

This is what I did with the Gilsson MCX amplified antenna on the front sunroof ledge in my R56. The view of the sky is partially blocked but it gets good enough better reception that I no longer get the signal drop-out driving in NYC that I used to. When I put the antenna on the roof with a full view of the sky, I got much improved accuracy.

This user hid his in the passenger side cowl vent. Not an option in my R56.

I was also looking for a stealth install on my GP. I ended up mounting the antenna puck under the passenger side cowl duct. I just purchased some thin metal, fabed up a bracket, and secured it with one existing bolt and some velcro. I get good reception from there and you cannot tell there is GPS in the car.

I would also try and go beyond "stealth" to "invisible," especially to someone that knows what to look for. Check out this thread out: Clicky

I took your idea and ran with it, here are some photos, tested it out tonight and I can get full signal while completely in the garage with the door closed!!! Doubt I'll lose signal ever again

Used some left over steel brackets from my old DIY front plate tow hook mount, used a bolt for the plastic trim and there is zero external visibility of the GPS system when I take it down from the interior now

Snapper
I never liked to have an array of electronics bolted to the dash that says "Take Me" so I decided to do an indash flip screen. I had the Kenwood unit installed and it fits the theme of the stock controlls pretty well. Some one would have to know what to look for to recognize it. I'm sure that they are out there and hope that they don't find me.
