Navigation & Audio Short antenna with HD
HD radio uses the same frequency range as regular FM radio, so you might have a problem, depending on the strength of the stations you listen to.
In the Norfolk/Virginia Beach area, there are quite a few stations I listen to that I can receive with the stock antenna, but not with my Craven stubby. In fact, I went back to using my stock antenna here in central California, because I'm hardly able to pick up any stations at all with the stubby (of course, the reception isn't a whole lot better here with the stock antenna, either - thank God for iPods).
Fortunately, an antenna isn't a big expense, and you'll always be able to go back to the stock antenna, either temporarily or permanently, so you don't have much to lose by trying.
