I want to swap my cd nav unit for a dvd unit as the one i've got is mk3 and is poo! I read a thread on here somewhere that it can be done. Can anyone please tell me if this unit on ebay would fit my mini......

Also is it just a simple unplug the old one and plug in the new one or would it have to be re-programmed etc? HELP

 

Unit is not a MK4 as posted on MINI2 and I also forgot to mention that the unit would need recoding to US is you don't know meters or yards.

 

Im from UK so when I do get one I just swap them over??. Read your reply on mini2. Thanks

 

Yes, it is a simple swap (I think that I had you confused with another recent inquiry). Recoding only matters if the unit is in US mode. However, if you do buy one that is, you can get it back to Euro mode by downgrading the firmware and then upgrading again. That will force the unit to Euro mode and give you yards/meters rather than feet.
