So I had to buy a new Ipod since my Gen3 died, this was about a year ago.

When my wife bought a new Ipod video it didn't get recognized by the head unit. Anyone else deal with this before. Is it a software compatability issue?

Now the new problem, no CD's work in the head unit. Goes through "CD CHECK", the "CD ERROR". Any ideas?

What brand iPod kit are you using?

Does the previous iPod still work with the kit? If not, it may be a problem within the adapter.

 

The previous Ipod, stopped working so no way to check. I just don't want to drop another $150. I guess I should try a friends Ipod first, or a couple of ones.

 

I have a 5G video ipod and it does not work with my factory ipod kit. my older generation ipod still works. I have an 06 Mcs.

Every once and a while it will work for a few minutes, but for the most part it doesn't work.
