Those who installed the Outmotoring aux...

I hate to post ANOTHER thread about aux, but I can't find the answer to my specific question. (please point me in the right direction if this has been answered)

I just received my kit and got stopped up on step one - pull knee panel out!!
I tried and my husband tried. It just made a horrible cracking sound and didn't budge. I didn't know if he should force it or not. I'm in an '06 convertible. Is that panel supposed to pop out easily??

thanks for any advice!

It is held with 2 pop clips at the top & they can be very tight
You need to pull it down & towards you at about 45 degree angle. It is hinged at the bottom

pull hard.
it should pop out very fast afterwards

the initial pull is quite tough so keep trying
it will eventually budge
