I have the HK system in my '05 and it will play MP3 discs without a problem, but for some reason won't display any info about the file. I've never seen even a factory head that played MP3s not display the track info and I know the R56s display the file info.

I'm sure this isn't unique to mine, but the question is whether it only displays certain parts of the file? I just burn them straight out of iTunes...

 

The stock H/K system won't display any CD information except the track number. This is true whether the disc is loaded with "normal" audio files or MP3 files, or whether it's burned or factory-pressed.

 

I figured as much. Thanks for clearing it up for me though!
