The Boss and the SSL appear to be the same subwoofer, SSL comes in an all-black enclosure, the Boss has a black and silver. I would opt for the SSL because it would "hide" better in my dark interior.

I installed the SSL and do like the black enclosure.

Is there an amp already there with the hi fi set up?
The hifi amp is in the cubby on the drivers side. there is room in the cubby on the passenger side for an amp. That is where I have my RF 300.1 amp for my sub.

That's still not a bad deal. I'm looking at $375 to add a sub to mine, and I'm re-using my old amp.

I'm doing a Memphis Car Audio setup, but I'm having to have my boys make a custom box. $375 includes everything... box, sub, install, wires, etc.
