Navigation & Audio Bluetooth Phone Prep Option?
The only hitch has been in the armrest. Mini hasn't offered any inserts to allow you to charge your phone in the car and hook in to the car's built-in antenna.
I was able to order a BMW insert for my Razr phone, however, and it's worked great.
If you review your phone's pairing PIN number before you go to your dealer to pick up your car, you could do the pairing right there and check to make sure it works property before you drive off.
Not sure about the cradle. For general compatibility, see:
What phone have you successfully paired with MINI Bluetooth?
Here's what I've found:

Although - the site looks 'official', the small print indicates it is a firm called Auto Wireless Solutions (http://getaws.com), so maybe those phones are not the full list, but only the ones they supply?

Here's a link for what I bought. It's a BMW part, but works on the Mini. It's for Razr phones. I bought mine through Classic Mini in Ohio. It was $112 with the discount for NAM members.

It's kind of a goofy thing. Each cradle works with only one particular phone. The phone plugs into the cradle, so it's designed for each phone's physical style.

Yes the armrest is prewired for charging and to connect to the external antenna. Plug and play. My phone (Blackberry Pearl) doesn't have the adapter but my MA paired it with the car no problem when I bought it (I didn't need any PIN numbers). It works great in the car.
Coming back from an area that lacks cell service, I noticed that I came back into reception maybe 100 yards sooner than normal. May be the antenna, maybe not.
I also noticed that the voice dialing worked the first time I used it by passing the request through to the razr. Now I'm getting a voice from the mini bluetooth system.
My razr is a female voice, the mini is a male voice. Is this a configuration issue?

I think that once its paired up with the phone it hands you off to the male Mini guy. I wish I could switch the voice to the cool English voicedial chick that's on my Pearl when I change the language to Enlish UK.
