My iPod went Dutch
I went to use my ipod-mini which I keep 24/7 on my parcel connected and powered by the Belkin autokit and the screen with all of its menus were in Dutch!!?....fortunately, my brother speaks dutch, so over the telephone I read him all the words(or tried to) and we negotiated through all the menus and got it back to English....BUT, then could see all the playlists/music were gone...empty, so plugged it back in to my computer to update and the ipod was frozen...could not reset or restore...BUT...had the extended warranty, luckily, so Best Buy is sending me a brand new used refurbished ipod-mini to my door but they may update that to an ipod-nano if no ipod-minis are available.....
does the ipod-nano operate and mesh with iTunes the same as the ipod-mini? I assume the belkin auto kit with work with the nano,....does anyone use the belkin auto kit with their nano?

I love apples support, much better then best buy IMO. Take it up, tell them it broke, they go in the back, and you walk out with a new iPod. They have replaced 3 or 4 of my 30gig videos since last June.
It is definitely a bad idea to leave the iPod sitting in the car 24/7. It will shorten the overall length of the battery charges and damage it if the temperature goes above or below the recommended operating range.
got my new refurbished ipod-mini from Best Buy...it did not sync automatically to reload all the playlists from itunes, but figured out how to do it manually...of course now whenever I plug it in to the computer, it updates only those selected playlists and then I have to manually eject the ipod after to get rid of the 'do not disconnect' screen......have to look up how to get it to update all playlists and do that automatically....anyone?
also, I re-applied some velcro to the back of the ipod as I mount the ipod on a velcro plate that I made on the left downtube; and also put back on a screen magnifier which I made out of a small fresnel magniying lens I got for free from our local Target pharmacy and taped that to the front of an empty clear TicTac box to act as a spacer and tape that over the ipod display...gives almost a 2X magnification of the screen so I can just glance at it while driving to make things easier for me

When you plug in your iPod, it should show up as a new source in iTunes. Select it. You should now see a summary view of your iPod. Above the summary there are tabs for different panels that will let you configure your iPod. Under the "Audio" tab, there should be an option to "sync all playlists."
The "do not disconnect" screen will remain as long as the iPod is connected if you have enabled disk use. The checkbox to disable this is on the Summary tab. Once this is disabled, you can disconnect the iPod at will (as long as it's not busy syncing...).
