Two Subs and No Seats

After searching this entire site for months trying to find anyone who had successfully built a false floor in the back of their car for the sole purpose of a kick *** audio system and never finding anything, I gutted the car and started from scratch.

We spent weeks of nights and countless weekends measuring and test fitting cardboard templates. The entire structure was drawn in Autocad. The actual pieces were cut from 2 sheets of hi density MDF using a C N C router. Everything wast assembled using fasteners made exclusively for assembling MDF cabinets.

The floor is made up of two parts, the first is the part that houses the amplifier and is mounted over the battery area, the second is the subwoofer enclosure and extends from the amplifier enclosure to the seat ledge.

The system installed consists of the following:

Alpine CDA9851
Boston Acoustics Pro50 (Front)
Boston Acoustics SL69 (Rears)
Kicker L510 (Subwoofer x2)
Kicker 700.5 (Amplifier 70 watts RMS x 4 + 210 watts RMS x 1)
Audiocontrol Epicenter

There were no new holes drilled, we used all of the original mounting locations for the seats and seatbelt hardware to secure the sub enclosure and the amp rack to the car.

I have more install pictures for anyone that is interested.

It's loud, clear, and beautiful! Even if I do say so myself.
