Can the H/K amp handle a 2ohm load?

I know that the stock H/K speakers are 3 ohm, and that the rear speakers are dual 3 ohm. I was however looking at Elemental Design 7Kv.2 6.5" Subwoofers (after seeing GreenBrit's install) and wondering if the dual 2 ohm speakers would work in the place of the H/K and give me a little more low end. I had previously planned to install a seperate sub and amp in the trunk but as truck space is so precious in a Cabrio, this may work better. Since I have the Cabrio, I already have 6.5s in the rear, so it'd be a direct fit.

I've also seen someone on here (I can't remember who) install small sub boxes into this space and am considering doing the same. I know that the ED subs do support infinite baffle though so this wouldn't be absolutely necessary but would likely improve sound.

So in closing, would this work? Or would I fry the H/K amp?

I think that the stock HK speakers are 2 Ohm, not 3.
