So, if we can find a male fakra to Sirius antenna cable, we can use the OEM roof mount antenna for Sirius...my search begins.

FARKA is just a keyed plastic shell over an ordinary SMB connector. Some can be removed nondestructively, others require a Dremel.

Does anyone know if an 06 Sirius dealer installed kit will work in an 07? I am trading mine in, and, they don't give a crap about the Sirius, so, I think I might just yank it out if I can use it. Hmmmm

Hey there. So I just got my 07 MCS with the Sirius factory installed. I DO NOT have the Nav system unlike most who went with the Sirius package. The Nav was just too $$$ for me.

Anyway, the package is pretty nice. Unfortunately, you get 2 lines of display on the radio. No new face or anything.

A few negatives (overall I give the integration & features a C+):
1. Only 12 presets
2. "Home" screen displays the channel # & channel title. When a song plays you like you have to press "Track" and then use the **** to scroll to see the title & artist. A MAJOR COMPLAINT OF MINE.
I would like the system to scroll the channel name, artist, & song title so you dont have to fiddle with this when a song comes on. I find this very frustrating.
If anyone figures out how to set this differently, PLEASE LET ME KNOW!

+s: integration with MFSW is nice. It's nice to hear the system is prewired for addition later but I am not sure how the MSFW would integrate. This is a pretty nice feature.

My 2 cents.

Nice to

Sounds like from Aonach post that if you don't have the Nav system it's not even worth putting the OEM Sirius system in. I'm thinking about getting the
Stiletto SL100 and tapping into the 07' shark fin settup. The SL100 has all kinds of features like the automatic scanning of a favorite song or artist as well as storing mp3 and recording capability. Now I only need to find a place to mount it.

Thats the rub mini specter, where to mount it. I don't want to clutter the car and would like the whole thing integrated with use with the MFSW. Why do you say its not worth putting the OEM system in if you don't have the NAV?.

I'm thinking with Nav the Negative issues Aonach listed would be resolved. In my current car I have built in XM with NAV. Very disapointed to find that I couldn't tag an artist or song and have the unit beep me whenever and whatever channel it happened to be playing on.

With only two lines skinny lines of text and no scrolling(I'm guessing NAV would be different) and the cost of dealer hooking it up, the Stiletto SL100 would be way more funtional for the money.

Yeah the mount..That's the major prob, between the external radio and external GPS I'm kicking myself on not getting the NAV system option.

Picked up my new MCS today. Called Sirius to activate the radio and she told me the radio only comes with 9 months subscription.....
So, I will be calling the man tomorrow to see what's up.
Anyone else have the same experience?

When I activated mine the person at Sirius originally told me it had a 1 year subscription. I told him no, and was rather firm with telling them it comes with a lifetime subscription. They did some digging around in their system and finally activated it with a lifetime subscription. Unfortunately, from what I've read, it is fairly typical for them to get the information incorrect to begin with. Your MA should be able to help straighten it out.

Picked up "MiniMe" on Monday. It has Sirius radio in it but no nav.
I called Sirius to activate it and they were only able to give me a 9 months subscription. So I guess I will be calling my dealer about it.
I can tell you that the Sat/Nav XM set up in my Z06 is much slicker than the radio in the Mini. And I do agree with others on this forum who say the audio is weak. I am not an audio expert in anyway, but the sound system is short on punch.
