Check out this link on the Iphone and the R56 on MotoringFile. I think it will give you the feedback for which you are looking.

FYI, my wifes iphone works fine with her r56 mcs. Works in my BMW fine too. Rings, answers, phone book, etc. Works well. Better than my Treo.

My iPhone does work with my new R56 Mini bluetooth module. I have not tried the iPod adaptor with it yet.

Has anyone gotten their iPhone to work with the iPod adapter? I can hit play and play music with my iPhone through the adapter, but the radio is showing "no disc" and is not recognizing the playlist (MINI1). I must be doing something stupid. Any tips?

I believe you have to turn the phone function off. It was mentioned in another thread, sorry I don't have a link to it.

Wow.. that would really suck. The iPhone works with the adapter, I just have to manually select the songs and hit play. It just wont use the playlist or let me control it with the radio controls. Do you think that it could be misprogrammed (the MINI) or does the phone really have to be in airplane mode?

I was able to just plug my iPhone into the adaptor without turning off the phone and it it looks like it works. I am able to see the playlists and control it like a regular iPod.
