The stealth box setup that JL has for the 2002 and up box will that work for the R56? Does an amp come with or is that seperate? I use to be in the car stereo world but kinda rusty these days.

however, for about the same price you can have a custom false deck built that doesn't get rid of any storage space.

Is that the setup that Outmotoring did in his? If you look at the first page of this post. I assume in that mod I would need to remove the jack thus having the room to create the box?

I thought about that, too. But, that felt/cardboard side panel seems like it would add its own, and probably nasty, harmonics to it?

I don't think I took mine down that far. I do kinda wish I had dynamatted like you did though.
ps What is that pull ring on the passenger side for? The boot? How would you access it normally?

We got a little more than .8 cubic feet from the box we're still testing (sounds great so far). And you only lose your tools Or you can put them somewhere else. I'm gonna stop giving hints. Next I'll post pics I swear.

Well, I checked locally on the price of the JLAudio stealth and it goes for just under $600. I currently have 2 JLAudio 10W3v2's just sitting in my garage. I've studied the above pics and I don't see why I can't build a fiberglass enclosure for each side panel. It will take up a small portion of the trunk space however.
I'm thinking of angling it slightly toward the opposite side of the front of the vehicle. I also think I can squeeze out at least .75 cuft, maybe more. I'm then thinking of a false floor for the amps.
Can anyone tell me offhand about how much room is under the front passenger seat? I'm not totally familiar yet with this vehicle. Thanks!
