File turnaround time

I know that at least 9 people are waiting for files. The issue has been my email change. (For the records it ends in ".net" rather than the more common ".com"; see below) I am sorry for the delay. All should be good by tomorrow.

I thought the delay was being caused by my email change. However, that is not the case. It seems that MTH-Germany has had a computer hardware issue and has been trying to get it resolved. I realize the wait has been a few weeks and that is too long; I do apologize.

Okay, so we have an example of one week turnaround over Thanksgiving as posted here: https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...ad.php?t=85371

Was this one of the nine? Or..what? Don, it's understood that you can't control what happens at MTH in Germany, but what's going on now?

You must be misunderstanding the posts. The usual turnaround time is one week. And as you see it is still that way. But when there is a technical malfunction the wait time gets extended. What can you do?
More importantly, why are you interested in posting the question "what's going on now?" Is there something you are getting at that I am not aware of?

Yep, I got my file yesterday and already loaded it. (Runs great Don, thanks again.) If I pull the holiday out of them mix it took about a week to get it even with the computer failure.

FYI, for all you folks that don't think this happens, this was a FREE upgrade for the installation of my pulley... Guess you guys were wrong.

I'm waiting on a Cosworth tune, and have been for over two weeks. That's the reason for my interest. As a current MTH subscriber, this is the first time I've experienced such a delay, and I'm trying to follow what is happening. So, when you write about 9 tunes having a delay, which is what has been happening to me, and then I read a post about a one week turnaround, I'm curious to know what is happening now. Understand?

I understand, I don't think you do. Let me repeat, if you submitted a file to me as the server registered a problem, you were delayed. If you submitted a file after it was back on line, there was no problem and actually file turnaround ran only one day.
When you write in a post, "what is happening now," you are inferring that problems are frequent and this is just not so.

You are not a mindreader; don't attribute motives to me that don't exist. As you noted, there was a technical problem at MTH that created a delay, and now apparently it is resolved. In the interim, there was simply a lack of communication about the status of the pending tunes. Forgive me for attempting to clarify what was happening.

It sounded to me like you were actually attacking Don rather than asking a simple question. I have found that he is very responsive....

Over the last few weeks there have been some e-mail issues that now seem to be taken care of. Tie that in with MTH issues and there are some delays. Either way, I was taken care of and extreamly happy.

I did not intend to attack Don or anyone. This is my final post on this topic. Again, forgive me for attempting to clarify what was happening.

P.S. The tune arrived in my email at 1:30 A.M. this morning. Hallelujah!

I kind of figured that the way that you guys were posting. Sometimes things get twisted when you put your thoughts in print. It happens and is no biggie. At least you have your file. I usually use the smiley when asking questions to let folks know that I am only curious...
