Basic Question...

If you only had the alta CAI installed, how good would it be to install the MTH software? Do I wait until I do the 15%pulley or go for the software now?

you can go with the software now. you'll notice a good enough change to say it is worth it...

i started with alta CAI, Miltek cat back, and Software change.. very noticeable difference from stock.. (168 to 170hp at the wheels)

good luck

I had only the CAI done....and got the tuner file....well worth it, in my opinion. Better throttle response, better gas mileage, and 892 bhp!!!! (of course that is from the butt dyno....and it hasn't been clibrated in awhile, but I am sure that it is close to 1000 hp at the wheels!!!!!)

(ok...so I am being a little sarcastic....like I have said before, the numbers don't mean squat....it's the driving experience that counts, and I think the MTH ECU update has increased my experience in immeasurable ways.)

DO IT!!!!!

FlynHawaiin,

You're really into mods these days! lol
You are on the right path with MTH Tuner file, and Alta CAI!

Next should be a 15% pulley, and getting rid of the trashy runflat tires!

thats cause I have my car. I have a ton of stuff I have already done to the car The 15% pulley is the scary one. It's a matter of finding the right person to install the pulley so I don't ever have any problems with it. I know randys the guy to use, but even someone with lots of experience can have a problem. Just trying to mutter up the nerve. The h-sport rear sway and the m7 uss are on order so yah :p

Don't be scared!

Just find a good guy you trust, and you're all set!

I got my 15% pulley installed but a well-known VW guy, ang he took his time... Every has been fine for 80 000km with the pulley!

Don't worry and don't skip the pulley, or you'll miss a lot of fun and power! the pulley is the base mod for a MCS!

Right now I'm stock, kinda waiting for better weather.
1st is tint and viper stripes.
2nd is lt. wt. 17" rims and toyo T1RS.(Keeping 16" xlites w/ all seasons for winter).
3rd is pulley, 15% at a garage party install.(maybe a CAI while I'm there.)
4th is MTH, right behind the pully install.(this way i won't have to redo the software. I want all engine hardware upgrades b4 the mth.)
5th is H springs and 19mm rear sway.
- Maybe throw in a subwoofer too sometime in there.

I plan on having all this done by mid summer.
