Is it possible to somehow let current MTH users know which software version they have?

Is version five the same as the tuner version?

How many versions are out there and what are the differences between them?

We have been in the dark so long.

I had the "standard file" which was upgraded to "version V (five)." I had the car dyno tested before and after version five. The results were totally different. With version five I gained 10 WHP, 10 ft-lbs torque and the A/F ratio was leaner. Interestingly, my dyno graph was virtually identical to another user who had recently upgraded with the tuner file.

Therefore, how can version five be the standard file and if so, at least in my case, why would it be identical to the tuner file????

The tuner file is a new product. It depends on how you measure, the different mods, the fuel quality etc. You may however have an upgraded standard file which Franz used to supply sometimes.

If I already have the upgraded standard file is there any reason to get the tuner file? How can I determine which file I have?

Updates are changes to the software should new tuning parts be installed to the car. The file is then adjusted to work best with these new parts. Upgrades are not changes to the software to increase power or change a standard file to a tuner file.

So you have a standard file.
