2007 Mitty at Road Atlanta is this coming up weekend,Apr 26-29th.Lots of Historic and Vintage Cars,Racing,Shows,Demo's and Mini is the featured marque.I know its also just a week plus before the Dragon,but i love the Vintage cars,plus Mini owners get parade laps Sun free,plus their own parking area.Hope to some of you there.

I'll be there Saturday enjoying the races and hanging around whatever MINIUSA is going to have setup.

 

3 days down...one to go...

I've got ~300 pictures already with a day left...who else was there doing a parade lap Saturday?

 

I'm sorry I missed everyone. I had a great time at The Mitty today - it was my first time. I got to see everyone that was out for the parade lap. My family was there in the Minivan, and we had to honk and cheer for the Minivans who were brave enough to get out on the track (we saw two!). There were definitely plenty of classic Minis and MINIs at the event. I was afraid that MOTD next week would have resulted in a low MINI presence. It was great day, and I will definitely be back next year.

 

I had a great time,wearher was perfect,lots of Minis,new and classics.One vendor was showing off the V tec /classic conversions,they were really nice,they had 3-4 on display,very professionally done,looked like they came that way!The Mini USA setup left a lot to be desired,they had a tent set up w/ 3 cars over in turn 6-7, and that was it,all the activities were in the show corrals on the other side of the infield,vendor alley,the paddock area and of course the track.Anyway, i had a great time meeting new people,looking at all the cars,(the ones i can't afford),and the parade lap.I wish the parade went a little faster and kept up speed,we ran 10mph then 40 then 10,but i guess thats cool,price was right,FREE!
