MITM 2011 - August 4 - 7, Winter Park CO
I've got too many other things competing for precious vacation time this year... so is it possible to just show up for one of the group rides on Saturday maybe? Or do I have to attend the entire event? I live only an hour away from Winter Park which is why I ask...
MINI11, you can just show up for one of the rides and/or come up and enjoy the event for one day.
You will not have a badge, swag or event tshirt, but come up and see what it is all about.
Welcome....

Just registered
I just finished registering for MITM 2011! This will be our first ever MINI event and are really looking foreward to it. Also just got 4 nights in the Fraser Crossing/Founder's Pointe complex. Can't wait for August!!
Good to see people posting up registrations and where they are staying.
Nice to have some new MINI owners coming to WP, it is a great place and we have some nice rides planned.
And many other fun things to do.
See the MITM website for updates.

Lobster, I'll save the boss a few keystrokes here and repeat post #13, what he told me so eloquently back in January. Accomodations and MITM registration are not related so don't put it off. Actually, it was my sister's dog that died but that's another story.
"By the way, that is July 22, not the 23rd because you were waiting for your sister's boyfriend's cat to die or even the 24th because you had to wait to cash a check until after you donated plasma and the 22nd was too close to your last donation so they wouldn't let you in or even, must I say, the 26th because you just bought a MINI in April and your BFF didn't tell you about MITM in time to register but she has the time off and you'd really like to come if we would just take a late registration just this once.
July 22nd 20:42 MDT - that is the deadline (not 20:43 because you thought it would be cool to be the very last one to register). Plan accordingly."

Thanks. I perused the site but wasn't sure. Also, If I'm going with some family, but I'm the only MINI, do I have to register the two adults and two kids (5 and 1) along with myself? This might be too pricey for me to attend, sadly...
Thanks Brick for filling in for me during my work week in WV. Good answer!
As far as registrations; paying the fee gets you swag including a shirt and a grille badge plus other goodies and discounts. If this is not of interest to your guests, they will not be mocked or harassed in way whatsoever and are welcomed to join in all the reindeer games (except AutoX, Sunday Brunch and the NUF! Car Show). They will be missing out on a pretty swanky shirt but this is totally between you and them. I also might add that $5 of each registration is going to the Shining Star Foundation which is a local organization helping kids & families battle cancer so we would encourage dropping a few coins in the jug on behalf of your non-registered guests.

I went up to WP today. Birthoud pass has a couple small construction zones, a bit of gravel, and one or two road craters to dodge. All in all the drive looks really good, all the little shops are open, the lifts are running, and the attractions are attracting.
I cant wait, the next two weeks are going to be draging along.

The FINAL volunteer schedule has been emailed, contact me at President@MINI5280.org if you did not recieve it!
Appropriate use of space or not, I want to let all you 5280 folk know what a terrific time was had in and around WP last week. Y'all deserve a huge Well Done. For us flatlanders that mountain driving was other worldly. Many thanks for a fun time!
Should modify that previous comment just a skosh. When the kids were with us we toured CO a lot in the family wagon - lots of driving. This was our first trip out there motoring - huge difference, thus the other worldlyness.
