2006 Factory JCW - SOLD

Year: 2006
Make: MINI
Model: Coupe
Price: $8500
Mileage: 94400
Color: Space Blue Metallic
Private or Dealer Listing: Private Listing
Location (Region): NorthEast

2006 Mini Cooper S JCW (John Cooper Works Edition)
94,000 miles
Space Blue Metallic with Silver roof.
Cockpit Chrono Package
Black English Leather Seats (Not heated - Southern car)
Harman Kardon Sound System
John Cooper Work’s package - Factory
Rain Sensor Wipers
Auto Dim Rear Mirror with Universal Remote

The good:
This is a highly optioned car.
New JCW Challenge Wheels
New Continental Extreme Contact DWS tires
New Drilled/Slotted Rotors & Pads
New Stainless Brake Lines w/ fresh fluid.
New Plugs
New Fuel Filter
New Cabin Air Filter
New Windshield
JCW Strut Bar
Engine strong and pulls hard.
Good clutch
Clean Carfax

The bad:
Some paint issues around the car: stone chips, scratches etc…
Hood stripe faded with small corner piece missing.
Pinstripe faded.

I purchased this car with the intention of restoring it (about 95 percent complete) and keeping it. I love the first Gen JCW cars and this was one of the most highly optioned cars I have come across in a great color. My wife has other ideas and does not want me keeping both of my Mini’s, so I am keeping the R52 because that is her favorite.

Comes with a spare set of R98 Web Spokes that are pretty rough, but could be sent out to be reconditioned.

I am surprised that there has been no activity on this post?

I took this car for a ride last night and am shocked at how much more power it has than my R52. It also rides and handles much better as well, which is to be expected over a convertible.

I would sell the convertible and keep this car if I was not upside down. I poured a ton of money into the convertible and will not get it back if I sell it. That is the price you pay for passion.

I dunno, but maybe you're asking too much for it? Here is Canada a 2006 JCW like you're describing is barely worth $10K CAD, and cars here (new and used) are quite a bit more expensive than in the USA.

I have a 2006 JCW Competition Edition (limited production #62 of 64) with only 58,000 miles and could maaayyybe get $11,000 CAD ($8350 USD @ current exchange rate) at private sale.

ANyway, good luck with the sale. The key is being patient if you want your price.

The passion for the cars let's you get into to them with upgrades and customization for more than they are worth. The new buyer ends up getting a great vehicle when the price gets lowered to the sweet spot!

All in all, a nice car and a JCW with all those options under 10k is a good price. Just need to be in the correct position in time when somebody looking with the money is there.

^Agree. Great color combo and nicely optioned. I'd be all over his one if I were in the market for an R53. Wonder if my wife would notice if another one showed up?!?

My wife did notice this in the driveway, hence the "for sale" sign.

I am making sure it gets driven every couple of days while it waits for a new owner. I do not want her to feel lonely or neglected.

Thanks for the feedback!

I imagine this is sold by now? Looking for an interesting well-kept (lower-ish mileage) r53. This one's snazzy.
