FS: 2005 MCS w/JCW $24,500 (with free Pickup)

I am selling this Mini on ebay. If you are interested, I would be willing to end the auction. More pictures can be found at http://www.szweda.com/gallery/album09. This is really a perfect car. Here is the ebay auction with more detail than you probably need (http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...MESE%3AIT&rd=1)

Hmmm! I thought I would have gotten more interest. I know that on NAM most people already have MCS's. Pass the word around. Is the price too high?

I lowered the price to $23,900. This is a steal! Way below bluebook. With JCW, 2 sets of rims, plane ticket, high end repair kit. I will have this price on the car for one week.

I guarantee that you won't find another mini anywhere at this price with all of this.

I live in Atlanta now mostly. I was living in both locations. Amsterdam 2 weeks a month and Atlanta 2 weeks a month. I lowered the price to $23,900. That was the lowest I wanted to go, otherwise, I might as well just keep the car. Which isn't a bad thing either

Atlanta is deffinity a bit of a ways drive from me. I don't think it will last another 6months, but if it does I might have money by then. Right now with a loan the most I can purchase is $17k. Hopefully you wont sell it, except to me!

-Cody Good Luck on whatever happens!

You seriously can't sell this car, its mine, lol. I think you should drive it for another couple of months, then sell it to me .

-Cody

Edit* So the warrenty will last until 09' or another 20k miles?

"I will offer the winner of this auction a plane ticket to come to Atlanta and pick up the vehicle. I can offer a plane ticket from any city that Delta or Northwest flies out." So, that means you will pay for a plane ticket?

Yep! Sweetens the deal some. I thought it would entice some "out of towners" who are hesitant at traveling or paying for a service to pick up the car. You save about $1000 and you get a cool road trip from it.

No cold weather package, and no LSD. The LSD was not offered for my build date. I was short by a few weeks.

I would seriously consider this car, but I honestly don't think I would have the money until probably August. I know that's a while away, but I would need the summer to work 40+hours a week to get the money. I really don't want to pay for a loan, but my parent's agreed to $7k. Figure $2k for tax, title, license, car is $24k, that puts me at $26k which would be about another $8k more. I doubt I can make that much over the summer. I also could take purchase of a brand new 06' Checkmate for that much, minus the LSD, and JCW Kit though.

Let me know what you think!

So it's a first class ticket that you're offering then? Must be since you're estimating its value at $1000.

The color and lack of LSD are probably what's hurting the sale. That and a new 07 having more HP than the JCW for nearly the same price as your used car. I would think that selling it ASAP would be the best way to go because of it.

Good luck with the sale.

Wow, what exactly was the point of that?

1) The plane ticket - maybe you're right, but who cares?
2) Some people like Electric Blue
3) The new '07 won't have as much hp as a JCW
4) Next generation JCW will have the same hp, but who knows when that will come out

This is a great price and deal. I'm really suprised nobody has jumped on it. I've seen similar JCWs go on ebay for ~$28k and they didn't even throw in a free plane ticket. Since it's an out of state purchase, can't you avoid tax? Plus, ,maybe the seller can register it as a gift. Just throwing stuff out.

Otherwise, bump for a good deal.

The ticket is a coach ticket. The $1,000 estimate is the typical average cost of having a car shipped. So the plane ticket would remove the need to pay for the shipping.

The lack of LSD may hurt it, but I doubt the color is the hurting factor. You need to do a little more research before you make claims about the 07. Every report states 170hp for an '07 MCS. My JCW has 210. A new '07 with the options I have without the JCW will be about $23,900 or a little more (albeit without the miles). I don't need to dump it, so I am not going lower than $23,900. That is pretty rock bottom and if anyone can show me a similiar JCW with brand new wheels, tires, and not a single scratch anywhere on the paint, including front bumpers, then I might consider it high.

A lot of states won't charge sales tax from private sales. For sure Georgia does not charge sales tax. Other states may differ.

Color is personal preference and that color rocks.
Lack of an LSD dont mean squat to 90% of ppl. Most dont even know what it mean
Where are you getting your HP numbers from because they are wrong. 07 MCS will have 170 bhp, just as now. Next Gen JCW WILL have more but your looking at 2008.
Your way off ...

Nice car ... wish you best in selling it!

If you are in a hurry to get rid of it - you may want to try the CarMax in your metro Atlanta area - they will most likely buy it and give a slightly above whole-sale value for the car.

The problem is JCW is not in any of the pricing books. So most places will give you $19,000-$20,000. Especially Carmax which goes straight by the books. Doesn't say it in the books they can't do anything.

30K miles for a year old car might be a detriment

Also, your JCW pricing logic may not sell either. It might be $6K installed but nobody is going to pay for your labor (which I think you included) so you might be a bit high

Regardles, beautiful color, I love that Blue.

Best of luck selling

I agree that the 30K can be a problem. But I have seen a few with 26,000 at dealerships for $25-$26K. That is without the $1500 sales tax. The dealership would have to sell it for $22,500 to still beat my deal.

I wasn't bagging on the guy's car, it's just a tough color to sell with the JCW in my experience.

As for the HP of the 07, I was referring to the retail price that was paid for this 05 JCW versus what it would cost to buy an 07 and modify it to make more power than the current JCW.

Looks like 05JCWS will be keeping the car. Enjoy owning and driving it.
