FS: 04 MINI Cooper S $15,500

We have had our Mini for several months now and it has been an absolute blast to own, as I'm sure you all know. However, it is a 5th car for us and we are in the process of building a new house so it unfortunately must go. To be quite honest, we'd just like to sell it quickly and not put the time into properly advertising it in an already-slow market, so hopefully we've priced it right to get it gone!

The car is Electric Blue Metallic, with Cordoba Beige & Black leather interior. It has about 56K miles, mostly highway (the previous owner is a friend of ours so we know its history). This car is in absolutely pristine condition and does not show the typical wear you would expect. It has been babied and treated the way a car should be treated, and now just needs a good home with someone else who will appreciate its value!

Features and Options:
6-Speed Manual
Sport Package
Toyo Proxes
Boost Gauge & Voltage Gauge
Tinted windows

Aside from the gauge pod and tinted windows, the car is completely stock.

Although we don't post much, you guys have been a nice source of information for us over the past few months and we appreciate it. If interested in the car or would like to see more pics, please email us at jkellycharles@bellsouth.net or call me at 770-548-3252 or my wife at 706-313-5355.

Thanks!

PRICE REDUCED!!!

Price Reduced - $15,000!!!

Guys, why can't we sell this car??!! I think perhaps we've under-priced it and folks are scared? Or maybe it's just our area, and not many people appreciate its value? Any thoughts on what might help it sell?

In any case, we are putting an offer on a house this week and this car absolutely must go. We do really hate to sell it, but as mentioned before it's a 5th vehicle for us and the least practical with 3 children.

zeus7625, sorry for not replying to your PM. I don't see it in my inbox? If you're still interested, please email or call us.

Thanks for the input guys!

It's a tough time to sell an R53. Might help to list the complete optionlist. Does it have MFSW? I don't think the price is too low... were I looking, I might be interested (I keep wishing for a non-sun roof car). Just takes patience... which I know isn't easy sometimes.

I live relatively close and I want a Mini. I have a property sale pending. I'll keep it in mind. I don't know enough about what to look for in a Mini. I do know to look at price and that seems good.

Its a good price, but atleast in my opinion, its the color and a lack of sunroof thats going to be the hurdle. The blue just doesnt look right to me with the tan, the mono color scheme doesnt fit the mini image (alot of people want the contrasting roof, its one of the things that makes the mini special, and the sunroof is a big plus). If I remember right, the earlier cars didnt have the desireable transmission due to gearing.

If it isn't sold when I return from Iraq in March I will drive up to look at it. That is exactly what I am looking for.

Sunroof = 100 lbs at the highest point of the car. I want an inexpensive autocross car. Has the sport suspension and no sunroof, big pluses for me. I don't want a white roof either. Car looks great. Everyone has different opinions and it isn't cool to slag on a car in the owners FS thread.

Some actually prefer the earlier gearing. If you are modding the engine, when you start getting the HP up, the later trans aint so great.

Nice car, great price!

Silver Arrow, just pointing out what the owner asked for. If they arent being sensitive about, you probably shouldnt be either. Besides they asked, "Guys, why can't we sell this car??!!", "Thanks for the input guys!". You may not want a contrasting roof, but obviously the majority of the public does, which is obvious by looking at the ones on the market. Honestly if it were me, I would probably have the roof wrapped in white vinyl. Its a cheap mod, and can be undone should the new owner ever want a change. I think it would tie the blue and the tan together, right now it just seems like it doesnt go together.

No. The LSD was a separate factory option starting with the 2005 model year (and was also included with the factory-installed JCW package).

That looks like a terrific car! I'd love to own it but I can't convince my wife to buy a second MINI.

Where are you in N Georgia?

I think your car is pretty sharp looking. I'm going to be on a Mini get together in Helen Ga, do you live near there?
