Just writing to see if there is any interest on here for a classic mini project. The car started its life as an automatic mini city. I bought it with a busted tranny, and proceeded to pay $13k for a completely rebuilt standard transmission 1330cc engine with race head, stage 2 kit, brand new exhaust from manifold to tip. Also car was PROPERLY modified to use wide fender flares, with a new steering rack, new shocks and new sport rubber cones (no rough ride like springs). She is sporting some wide mini lite deep dish wheels, grey with a polished lip. New engine has UNDER 1000 MILES!
Car was delivered to me unfinished and i do not have the time or the resources to finish it. The exterior needs to be repainted. The body is in great shape and has very little rust. Body was prepped for paint but never got there. Dashboard needs to be finished and installed. Gauges need to be hooked up (only tach and gas gauge work currently) and mounted to dash. Stereo and speakers need to be put back and hooked up. Everything is there to finish.
Just don't have the time and resources... i paid over $16k total for the car and its modifications. I would like to get $11,000 but i am willing to negotiate. . My loss is your gain..
willing to trade plus cash for a newer cooper S only.

Some general questions:

Why was the car being prepped for paint? Looks pretty good in that first pic...

Do you still have the original wheels and flares? Easily converted back? Some folks are not keen on 13's...

the car was prepped for paint because it had scratches and stuff that you can't see in those pics. it basically needs primer in a couple of spots and then color and clear... not like a complete overhaul where you would have to take apart everything.
I don't have the original wheels or flares. it was modified for the wide wheels and arches so i am not totally sure if it would be ok to put on smaller wheels and tires. someone else could probably answer that for you.
brakes are brand new, discs front and back.
it has a bunch more performance parts than i listed but i just cant remember off the top of my head what else was done.
BTW the car is very loud!
