Denver Comedy Improv Show
Denver Comedy Improv Show
Hey guys and gals,
I know it's getting late for this announcement but I just thought to share it here.
I've got a few friends in an improv troupe here in Denver and they have monthly shows downtown at the Avenue Theater. We usually head down as second nature, but they're always looking for more people interested in having a good time. I figured that I don't know a better group of people out for fun than my fellow MINI owners. You're all officially invited to come down to see their shows! Here's some details from the troupe's leader Jeff:
That's the latest word on tonight's show. If you're interested come on down. If not then enjoy whatever else it is you plan on doing.
Their shows take place the third Wednesday of each month at 7:30 pm.
For those not interested in doing the math their next nearest show dates are:
January 17th
February 21st
March 21st
April 18th
May 16th
We'll be there tonight and I hope to see you there too!

That is a good post and a good idea
I am sure that Rick, President of MINI5280 will see it. There is NO reason we cannot call club functions for this type of event, come as you are.
Regrettably, tonite is short notice for me but otherwise that sounds like fun.
Please send a note directly to Rick at Info@MINI5280.org and he will handle the arrangements, calendaring, scheduling, etc.
Thanks again for posting...

Well guys, its time for an early reminder for this monthly event. We haven't been since January (based on vacations, other plans and one show cancellation) but this month they're having another show and I'll be there.
If anyone's free on Wednesday May 16 at 7:30 pm we'd love to see you there.
The address above is where it all goes down, there are no age restrictions, though the less children are in the audience the more mature the show becomes. Come on down if you're looking for a mid week laugh!

Sorry toi everyone that didnt' make it; it as, per usual a good show.
The next one happens on June 20th. Wednesday night at 7:30, door cover is $10 which includes a drink.
As we get closer I'll mention it again, hopefully folks can make it in the future. Once I get my hands on their schedule, I'll post the remainder of the year's dates too; third wednesday of every month.

No Tommy it is NOT a 21+ show. You'll have to be 21 to drink, but not to get in. It's a pretty small place; a theatre with a concession stand (ish). They fill seats, not bellies.
In any event I have a schedule with me, so unless anything changes the shows scheduled for the remainder of the year are:
June 20
July 18
August 15
September 19
October 17
November 21
Apparently they take December off, so no date there.
As I said before the shows are at 7:30, $10 tickets which includes a drink (non-alcoholic available as well), house doors usually open fifteen to thirty minutes before the show.
Address if you need it again is: 417 East 17th Ave, Denver.

Friendly reminder!
Next wednesday the Rodents are playing. All information is above.
I'll not be attending this one, I've had a business trip come up and will be in either Philadelphia or New Jersey that night. The show will go on however and you're all invited.

Monthly reminder. the Rodents are playing THIS wednesday the 18th.
I will be in attendance this time and they've promised some new stuff. They've been coming up with new games and sketches and having a good time while they're at it.
Come join us this wednesday, 7:30 pm. $10 per person, no age restrictions.
p.s. They have a website now, click http://coloradoimprov.com/ to visit.

There is much parking in the surrounding neighborhoods. There are some lots available for parking, but I'm not sure their cost. We always snag a street spot.
The show starts around 7:30, so we show up between 7 and 7:15 usually. Gives us a chance to talk to some friends and relax before the show.
Food, well. We usually eat first, somewhere en-route from home to the theatre. After, we commonly crash Steubens with whomever wants to go; it's like a block away on 17th (to the east). They have awesome french fries. So awesome in fact that someone dubbed them "crack fries". There's something special about their preparation that makes them somewhat irresistable. They supposedly have good drinks, though I've never boozed there.
This week I'm willing to wager that we'll eat somewhere in the Belmar area before heading downtown. Hang out at the show, have a beverage or two there and then go to Steubans afterward for celebratory fries.
Join us if you're interested. I've never been disappointed by one of their shows.

Until today
I thought we would make it. Berk is gone, Darcy and I are having fun....but now the boss is back in town and he wants to do dinner. Oh well, the road to hell is paved with good intentions.
Next month.

Hopefully we can meet sometime. If you're there when I am please come introduce yourself. I'm one of the tallest guys in the house and have long hair. Can't miss me.
See anyone that can be there.. um.. there.
I'm not entirely sure I followed your post. You said you go, but whom you are with is a mystery to me. Admittedly I've been absent for a while so I probably missed something.

Alright guys, monthly reminder!
This Wednesday August 15; show starts at 7:30.
I know that many of us just got back from MITM; so if you need some more fun to continue the high come on down. If you're too worn out to make it I can understand; it was a long weekend, but well worth it.
Hope to see you there!
