Bummer about having to skip the driving school. I'd fire the house-sitter.

What is this Angel Fire route? Is it something we could do as an AMVIV run next year?
Sorry - brain fart - - I meant Valley of Fire - went all the way around - came out on Lake Mead Blvd...dicey part of town isn't it?
I read of an unfortunate incident involving your MINI. What happened?
The house sitter had a nasty family emergency and had to fly back east. She tried to get a friend to cover but couldn't. It was a bad situation...Yeah I was PO'd but sometimes you have to roll with it. <insert shrug smilie>.
In another thread I see someone referred to your MINI problem as Chav. Here's the definition - lest nobody else gave you this already.

Thanks again for all you did - I'd only say that I never understand why clubs don't bring in XXL sirts. Seriously. I don't think I've been to a vehicular event where the XXL shirts wern't sold out in the first 12 minutes.

Ahhh...ok. Yes, Lake Mead Blvd does indeed go through a dodgy area of town. I rarely hit that part of town. There was a poker run venue this year in that North Las Vegas area (Speedway Casino) and the guy who was handing out cards there thanked me for "sending him to the ghetto". I just want to go on record that I didn't give out the location assignments, but I did make sure that my wife went the opposite direction to the Hot Rod Grille.

My car...during one of the 40mph gusts of wind, one of the speakers we were playing music though and using for announcements blew over onto my car.
It hit right on the rear, driver's side corner, breaking the rear side and the rear glass, and denting the C pillar where the glass attaches.
It's in the shop right now being repaired on my insurance

We moved the shirt sizes more towards the larger sizes, to the extent that we sold out of Ms a week before the event started. We had a fair number of XXLs, we had about half a dozen left at the start of the event. People who missed out will be inspired to pre-order next year. same with the dinners. We sold out of dinner tickets and wound up having to turn about 20-30 people away. If those people had pre-ordered, we would have had better numbers to give Palace Station and no-one would have missed out on the fun.
