Shelby American Museum Tour

Please note an important MAY event for MINIs and Minis across Colorado: The BMWCCA has invited us to join them for a Sunday tour of the Shelby American Museum in Boulder, CO. The date is Sunday, May 15th, 2005.

The Museum has offered Sunday, May 15th 2005 as a special time for 5 car clubs: RMCBMW, Audi, MINI, Mercedes and Porsche. All clubs are invited to come visit. Feel free to bring family, friends, members and non-members.

If you were a car enthusiast in the 60's and paid any attention to automobiles, you know who Carroll Shelby is..and what the Ford Cobra was, what the Ford GT was, and more. This museum in Boulder has all these cars and more. And they still run.

Date: Sunday, May 15th 2005
Time: 10 am to 2 pm
Location: Shelby American Museum, Boulder. 5020 Chaparral Ct., Boulder, 80308. 303-516-9565. The Museum is located NE of Boulder, E of the Diagonal Hwy 119

tell me where you are coming from, I will pick a spot near there, and will have the NorColo folks go directly to the museum.

... is fine with me: Downtown or heading north towards

Anyone else going that would have suggestions? Or would prefer us to meet you along the way somewhere?

I won't be able to go, but Tony might be there in his black Audi TT (again, still with the IN license plates!) -- so he'll be looking for all you guys. :smile:

Just to throw a little gasoline on this fire.

The museum just had a 2.something million $ Cobra donated to it.
Highest price "ever" paid for a roadster (vs. the Daytona coupes).....
