School of Mines Car Show

The Society of Automotive Engineers is having a car show in Golden tomorrow (Saturday) from 11-4:30. I was thinking about going and was wondering if anyone from here was going to be there. I'm going for a drive in the morning with the Lotus club before heading there. It will be fun to see how the Mini stays with a M100 Elan, (turbo/FWD) Turbo Esprit, and Elise in the mountains!

Entry is $20 and I guess they always have cheap burgers, brats and brews. It's on Elm Street between 16th and 18th. Not sure if I'll enter or just view, but I always love a car show!

Hello Golly!

Thankks for the notice. I can get this info out tonite, or ask Rick to send a reminder late today. We have another event in the AM (Detail Session at Detailers Paradise) but we can promote this, too.

Pls send me or post here the link to the Lotus club or the site for the event, if you have it. That will help.

Thanks,

JPS

Here is some info on the School of Mines car show:

http://www.mines.edu/stu_life/edays/carshowflyer.doc

It looks like the Lotus club drive is fizzling and will be me and two others, only one of which will probably be driving a Lotus! I think we might meet some others later for a drive to Idaho Springs, but it's all up in the air. It should be a nice morning and I had already gotten the morning off from "dad duty" so I'm going if it's alone!

We are meeting in Sedalia and heading to Bailey and back is the plan right now.

Lotus make the Mini HUGE

I had to share these pictures sent to me after todays drive. It cracked me up that a lowered Mini looks so big compared to the Lotus cars.
