recommendations? tint & clear bra

can anyone recommend a merchant to do tint & clear bra when my mini is delivered?

the dealer showed me a write up for the vendor they used that was over $1000.
i want a quality product and quality install, but i am not paying over a grand for these two items.

i saw a few groupon deals for these (one of which was for 3m FX Premium, which seems good quality?), but i am just not sure which shops are to be trusted.

thanks!

Well, if you let us know what area you live, perhaps we can point you in a direction. A number of independents are available in the Colorado area.

I do know that Ralph Schomp MINI does there tint in house with a dedicated tint person who bases out of the Honda Dealer.

MINI of Loveland had been using an independent who is associated with MOL, but at that time was not employed by them.

There are others, other folks will chime in. Of course if your not in Colorado, who knows.

Well dang, you are in Brighton, not sure on the clear bra, but for tint, I had a friend recommend this independant. Fellow by the name of Maurice, used to have the shop called Boulder Window Tint, works from home or your place now.

303-443-8180, disclaimer I have not used, but my friend is in the auto biz and say's he is great.

Well, pick well and don't pay to low for the clear-bra, some folks are going with the spray clear-bra.

Not sure of the cost or vendor, perhaps someone will speak up with details.

Going down for a quote on Friday.

Oh, a clear bra and tint for $1000 is a good deal.

I need to do the clear bra, and it is around $500.00 for a partial hood, here in Cheyenne, WY.

really? that is way more than i have paid to have other cars done so it just seemed outrageous. clear bra on other cars (previous ones have always come with tint) was less than $300 for me and most people i know, so the $789 for that portion the dealer quoted me seemed like a huge markup.

because it is a huge mark up. 1k for tint and clear film is a complete and utter rip off, even here and we always pay higher. $300-400 is probably acceptable, anything more and they're taking you for a ride, which dealers always do.
