Ill come over with my Vipec tuned and installed by myself....if you want another car there that has a Vipec. I should be off around that time....I dont mind the drive. I can drop the wife off at her parents in GJ.

Tunes don't kill motors. Tooners do. My tuner does safe tunes, Ive personally seen his tunes. They have less timing then stock, and don't ride the knock sensor....8 degrees in a cam will kill a motor though.....just saying.

Please keep this thread on topic and we will not have it locked by the Moderators.

If you want to bring your Vipec tuned and installed R53 over for a dyno run, please come on over. Don Suiter

Quiet here today, good to see since we are back and online again.

Back to the discussion of a Dyno Day in the Denver area and opportunity for folks to see what they can do with their R53, R56, R55 and R60s, or any of the Mini/MINIs.

Post away, please follow the rules. If you are not from our area and are posting since your planning to come, post as a friend of MINI5280.

If your going to troll or flame, please don't bother. (I removed a statement), see the Moderators statement below.

There was talk about needing pre-payment (or something). Was that decided and was a collection method determined?

Wish your car would have been running would have been nice to see what a sprintrex powered car on E85 would put down.

We are still working on that. There is still some time before we need to reserve the facility.

I will make it explicitly clear to all users in this thread that discussion products made by banned users is not an issue at all, talking about the individuals and users that have been banned would be an issue in conflict with the guidelines. This statement in no way pre-empts any of the guidelines, including:
VENDOR
If you wish to advertise and/or perform market research on North American Motoring, you must be a paying vendor. Click on Contact Us found in the Main Menu block to learn more. Group buys must be arranged through North American Motoring vendors.
POLITICS & BANNING
Discussions related to politics and banning are not permitted. Comments or questions regarding banning should be sent in through the Contact Us link found in the Main Menu block
DISCIPLINE
Violation of any of the above rules will result in a warning and/or "1st Strike" by the moderation team via email or PM. Interpretation and enforcement of these guidelines is done by the moderators and staff of North American Motoring and all judgments are final. It is not possible to list every possible contingency and variation on each rule, hence the need for human interpretation by the above parties for each specific case.
And for those that are unclear

North American Motoring (NAM) defines a Vendor as anyone using the site in any way to:
  • determine the viability of a product being considered for development (market researcher);
  • advertise or promote products manufactured for this target market (manufacturer);
  • sell retail products and/or services (retailer); or
  • distribute products from manufacturers and/or retailers (distributor).
Be aware that the following will get you treated as a vendor if you are acting on the behalf a vendor, current or former:
MEMBER-BASED PROMOTION (SHILLING)
Vendors may not use any type of consumer-based promotion tool. Compensating non-vendor NAM members in exchange for member-based promotion of or discrediting of vendors, products, or services is prohibited.
A great deal of latitude has been given to the users in this thread in an effort to support the efforts and events of MINI5280, however forum rules do still apply, just because you are in a club section does not change the guidelines.

That said this thread for the time being is remaining open and may continue. I have just made room in my PM box and if you need clarification you may be PM me directly so as not to take this thread any further off topic.

Rick please remove Teena and me from the list. I will probably come by and watch, but that is about all we can afford now.

As seems to always be the way when I try to plan something ahead of time, I was just given notice I'll be out of country that day. Totally bummed.

Undersanadable guys.

Looks like only 4-6 left for a possible tune. Not sure if that's going to be enough to get our tuner out here even with my discounted airfair.

Don and I still need to figgure out how to collect peoples dyno deposit in the next week or two to reserve the facility. We also need to know of any canselations ASAP so we can get an accurate price.

(More mods first).

No activity or updates since the 12th. Interest and planning are slow or dead.

I am going to declare this dyno day cancelled. We will reschedule at a later time, perhaps in the cool months of the fall 2012.

Don

I will leave the thread active until Friday for commentary then close it down.

Agreed there where too manny recent backouts to get any knid of discounted rates if you figgure in the cost per person over the cost per hour of just going on your own.

I'd still like to see something like this happen (sorry I had to be one of those cancellations; ultimately work pays for my ability to play). Hopefully we can resurrect the plans for later in the year.

Look for a new Dyno Thread in the fall, MINI5280 sponsored.

This way folks can get baselines. Probably will not be a tuning type Dyno day.

if you have a Dimsport or Alta AP and want to see what the your tune has done to your MINI you should be able to baseline, reload your tune and get an idea of the increase from the tune.

Don
