w/o my digging thru teh manual, (which is outside, downstairs, and around the corner.., plus, i took my shoes off already!) can someone tell me what viscosity of oil i need for my Cooper?

 

anywhere from 0w30 to 5w30 synthetic. and only use the best.

 

Can also use 0W40 (Mobil 1 is an approved oil in this weight).
Oils are supposed to have ACEA A3/B3 and BMW-LL-01 certification as well,
which narrows the options down quite a bit.

Actually, the Longtime High Tech shown above meets LL-04
but the Leichtlauf Special LL 5W-30 meets LL-01 (but haven't seen that for sale anywhere).
Both meet ACEA A3/B3.
