2010 Colorado Conclave

Hello everyone
Planning has started for the 2010 Colorado English Motoring Conclave. I want to let you all know that we are planning on making some changes to the event this year.
We would like more participation from the MINI's and welcome you to take part. We do need more people willing to serve on the committee and help out with the event. Our goal is to kickstart the event and get more excitement put back in but to do this, we need more help.
I am planning on having a different type of tour this year and am planning on more activities at the show itself. If you are interested in helping out, serving on the committee or have ideas, please let me know.

The Denver 'branch' of the LeMay Museum is joining in and Hagerty Insurance has also signed on to sponser and add some activities.

I will have the 2010 web site up soon and look forward to hearing from you. You can send me e-mail at bobsbritcars@comcast.net

Help us make this the best all British Car meet ever!

Thank you I will post for volunteers in August. I would like the tour to be a 'poker run' this year so I will need help in staffing the check points.

The web site has been updated http://www.thecoloradoconclave.com

HELP!!!
We are looking for help this year on the Conclave Committee. We are planning some changes and additions to the event this year but need some additional help serving on the committee. Please let me know if you are interested in or are available to help out in the planning and production of the event this year. We would love to have representation from both Classic Mini's and New MINI's on the committee.

Some of the changes / additions are;
Trying to be an 'official' 9Cares event
Having a radio station remote broadcast at the event
Making the Tour a Poker Run this year
Auto Club (LeMay Museum) joining as a sponsor
Hagerty Insurance Concours Judging
Having a rock climbing wall
Additional awards - Sportscar Craftsmen Award, Motorway LTD Award, Chairmans Choice Award, Most Likely to Improve Award, Favorite Land Rover by the Mini's Award, Favorite Triumph by the MG's Award etc.
These Awards will be presented in a 'drive by the podium' concours style.

We are trying to 'spice up' the event a bit to keep people interested in it. In addition, we will welcome any vendors, not just classic British Car Vendors, interested in attending. Most/all of the classic British Car owners have other modern cars - Toyota's, Honda's etc. so why not have vendor information for these as well.

More changes are possible for future events and we are open for discussion on ideas, but we need help in pulling this off.

I can be reached via e-mail at bobsbritcars@comcast.net

Thanks for your help and thoughts

As Jonathan said - check out the web site. You can register the day of the event but I strongly recommend registering before that. It can be quite a 'cluster' for registration at the event as well as getting 500 cars and bikes parked.

Unfortunately you are going to miss out on one more new MINI, by one weekend. My plane comes in from Kuwait the Monday following the show.

1. - I am THRILLED that you are coming home!!!
2. - I am bummed that you will not be there but am still THRILLED that you are coming home!!!

In October, the British Motoring Club of Northern Colorado usually hold their Oil Spot Rallye and I think there still might be some other events until the snow starts flying so hopefully you can make one of those.

WELCOME HOME!!! and THANK YOU!!!

Just a reminder,

The Rocky Mountain Triumph Club, RMTC, will be collecting non-perishable items, canned or boxed for the 9 Cares Colorado Shares Program at and during the Colorado English Motoring Conclave.

While I would love to be a part of this event, I live in KC and I think my name was added to the attendees list by mistake.

Just FYI. Hope you guys have a terrific event!

I will be down for a couple of hours, not showing the MINI in the group. Other things keeping me busy.

Probably over the noon hour.

I am signed up because I am attending but I am not showing RUDEBOX this year.

For those who are registered, you will get a voting booklet for your favorite car in every category...don't forget to vote for your favorite MINI!

Don, voting is over at 12:30...don't wait too long because that's when everyone starts taking off.
