I am going to switch paths and start with the group up in Denver. The ride from there on CO127 and CO 67 is so awesome. Riding out through the mountains is fun and full of twisties. It will be great to get a big group for the whole ride and have minis out cruising the back roads. If anyone wants to caravan up to Denver let me know and we can pick a meet up spot.

Those still coming up from the Springs can still meet up at McGintys. The group should get there 1145-1200. We than all ride into Cripple Creek as a group. That will be so cool.

I am heading up from the springs to the Denver meet spot. It is such a great ride down through the mountains. It is worth the ride up to Denver.

Colorado Springs folks, anyone interested in meeting up this sat evening? It has been awhile. I though we could meet up a the old shopping center on Austin bluffs around 6 Pm. Might be nice catch up and talk minis

First Saturday Car show starts again 4 May in Colorado Springs. Styled like "Cars N Coffee" this month's sponsors are the Colorado Rock Mountain Mustangers. It is located at 3133 Cinema Point, Dicks Sporting Goods. The show is free. Car assembly is 0700-0800 and the show is 0800-1000. Come on out for a good showing of MINIs.

We still have openings for assistance inregistration, BBQ/Wine Cheese set up/tear down, Car show traffic control andthe Dinner. Most activities only requirea couple hours of you time. OK, we are working the details on the Wyoming Wander. It will be a nice overnight (14-15 Sep) trip through the twisty roads of northern Colorado up to Wyoming. We will probably roam up H287 into Laramie,then over to Cheyenne. We will make alunch stop along the way. We are workingdetails to get on to historic F.E. Warren AFB. It was an old Calvary base and has 200+historic buildings. We might be able toline up along the parade field and get some pictures. We will need some personal informationprior. More to come on that.

We are looking at a few hotels in Cheyenne to see what they can do for ourvisit. We are also planning adinner. Come Sunday morning we will wanderdown the east side of I25 through Greeley. We will be joining up with our friend of MINI COW, the new MINI club in Wyoming.

I will get some more details out as I get them. I think it will be a good time. Sign up on the calendar if you are interested so we can get some tentative numbers.

 

Greetings to the southerners. I just recently joined NAM looking for fellow MINIons in the Colorado Springs area. My girlfriend and I will be going up the the fall colors ride on 21 Sept and was wondering if anyone else was going to head up.

Southerners, Check out my gallery. I bought my R53 less than two months ago and she was neglected! We've been working hard at getting Chloe back to beautiful again. I'm pretty happy with the progress thus far! I found an AWESOME paint guy in Pueblo that removed all the dents and repainted her and painted my new scoop. We replaced the grilles and did some extensive detailing and put in the new mats. Still so much to do but what do you think so far? I can't wait to get out and about and motor in and around the Springs!

 

Great repaint, looks like a very good job. You should share all the information with the MINI folks, if you have not already done so.

Of course! He's independent but works out of a shop in Pueblo. If anyone is in need of some work, PM me and I'll give you his phone number. I'm happy with the paint job and the seamless removal of the dents but I'm more impressed with his care for the car. He went above the norm to make me happy with it by doing little things like polishing the exhaust tips and the black top (he saw a scratch and buffed it out!). All you have to do it tell him the guy with the Mini sent ya!

 

We've been gone for awhile but are interested in getting back into MINI5280.

Sold the MCS and have a 2012 ALL4 S Countryman.

All, as you probably know Minis In The Mountains (MITM) 2014 pared down to a linked on-the road trip and promotional trip with Mini Takes The States (MTTS). Basically we will sponsor an event in Grand Junction with MTTS and promote MITM 2015 along the whole way. With that I am putting together a small committee to put together our plan. I am looking for 3-5 Committee members to work promotion, sponsored event, etc for the MITM 2014. I am planning to have our first committee meeting the end of March. Probably we will meet somewhere in central Denver area to lay out some ideas and plan our way ahead. Saturday August 23rd---7:15 am

We'll meet up at Starbucks 506 Castle Pines Pkwy & I-25 at 7:15 am and leave promptly at 7:30 am to make our way to Starbuck 4465 Centennial Blvd & Garden of the Gods, in Colorado Springs by 8:30 am to regroup. We will leave Colorado Springs promptly at 9:00am and motor nice back roads to Canon City. Once in Canon City we will visit Skyline Drive first before we make our way to the park for a picnic lunch.


Be sure to bring your camera, lunch, chairs.
