Torx bolts are universal, can re-use them, if you can get them off. They tend to rust/corrode inplace and need to be drilled out.

SS lines are good, especially if you track/autox your MINI, stock lines are fine for street.
Same with brake fluid, some are better for track use others are fine for street ATE, Motul, Valvoline(I use) are a few examples. Due some research in the Tires, wheels,Brakes forum Tires, Wheels, & Brakes .

Again, I am willing to help you out if you want.

Window tint

Miniconcarne,

Thanks for the recommendation for RM window tint. Getting the Cooper done on Monday.

Also, wheels are KYOWA racing in the signature pix.

In Colorado Springs we have a number of active members in MINI5280.

Also on FB you can look at the SOCOM MINIs page, it is managed by Seth W. Do a search, it gives you an in into the Springs MINI folks.

Welcome and join MINI5280 and come to some of our events. We will have two good ones down your way in June and July.

Yes, most of us down here in Colorado Springs are members of 5280. It's hard to get up to Denver often though so we have get togethers down here. The facebook site will give you details on a roller derby activity this Saturday. https://www.facebook.com/groups/114516478633973/
We look forward to meeting you!

Southern Colorado Minis is hosting the First Saturdays Car Show so we need as many MINIs as possible for this one. The First Saturdays Car Show is in the style of a "Cars N Coffee" event where fellow car lovers gather to see cars from all makes, models and ages. The staging starts at 0700. The show runs 0800-1000. Show up any time and enjoy.

Following the show, we will head-out on a twisty drive to Bailey, CO to eat lunch. We will stop and a great little Coney Island Hot Dog stand shaped like a hot dog. It’s a great little stop in Bailey, CO. This is a great chance to visit the car show in Colorado Springs and take a twisty ride back to Denver. Maps will be published and handed-out. Thanks!!

More info on the SOCOM Facebook page under “Events”:

Southern MINI5280ers, anyone up for a "mini" fundraiser for those effected by the fire. May be we could me some night or upcoming car show (1st Sat) and collect some money and get it to Care and Share or a fire victim fund. Might be nice to help out where we can.

Southern Colorado Mini owners - I know it is late but we are going to have a MINIS FOR THE FIRE SURVIVORS collection at the Saturday Car show tomorrow, 7 Jul. I will get a box together so we can collect cash, towels, food, etc for the survivors of the Waldo Canyon fire. We will collect what we can and get it over to United Way and Care and Share. The car show is 0800-1000 at first and Main (Powers/Carefree) just stop by and donate.

NORTH meets SOUTH MINI Run - 3 Nov 12
Here’s our chance to link up NORTH and SOUTH MINI folks.

We will head up to Bailey, CO to the Coney Island Hot Dog stand for lunch.

We will launch from points NORTH (Denver) and SOUTH (Colo Spgs) and meet in Bailey at the Hot Dog Stand that looks like a Hot Dog.

I will provide launch times shortly but we plan to meet at Bailey at 1130.

Maps are forthcoming.

Sign up at the MINI 5280 Calendar.

Hello All,
New MCS clubman (used) owner south west Colorado Springs.
Haven't joined MINI5280 yet, but thinking about it.
I was hoping that there was a club down here in the south as Denver is a bit of a hike, mind you any opportunity for my better half to visit IKEA!
Open to any ideas and future meets this neck of the woods.
Another dam Brit... Cheers Kevin.

Welcome Kevin! We do have a group that gets together down here in the Springs. It's been a little quiet during the winter but will pick back up. Kind of an informal gathering of MINI owners. Some of us are members of 5280, some still thinking about it. Check us out on Facebook - https://www.facebook.com/groups/114516478633973/

Welcome Kevin, Rougue leader hit it pretty good. we get a few south things going. The MINI5280 club set some rides up down south, so we do mix it up a bit. You can certainly join any ride that is going on either SCOM or MINI5280 member or not. We actually have an event tomorrow. No so much a ride as visit to a transporation museum and lunch at GB Fish and chips. More info on the first ride 2013 thread. Welcome and hope to see you at some rides.

Icicle Rallye is going to be a great run. For those Colo Spgs folks that can't make the whole run we could have a meet up in the springs then meet the mini caravan from the north in Woodland Park. we can then all make the drive into Divide then on to Cripple Creek. If any one is interested I will set things up. Be sure to sign up on NAM.
