Perfect Bryan! I've allowed people to sign-up on the calendar event: Garage Day
See that wasn't so hard was it? Now let's get enough people to this event that we have to borrow your neighbor's garages and their neighbor's garages.
So I'd really be interested in someone installing breaks or even just changing out break fluid. I can help, watch or just get the heck outta the way.
Thanks for the activity Bryan - it goes in the newsletter next month.
Now post it in Facebook and on MA (http://www.motoringalliance.com/forums/mini5280/)

Thanks Chuck!

This can be a great "How To" day, plus save some $ on DIYs.

"COMEON" down and get your hands dirty!

We can do some grill-ables or pizza run or grill pizza!

Well, if MINI Schomp does not drain, fill and bleed my brake fluids, perhaps I will do it at the Garage party. 2yr service on Wed. this week.

Bryan, do you have a power bleeder or anyone down that away?

I do! It's been used on two R53's and worked perfectly. That said, it is naturally a homemade version! As long as the master cylinder caps are the same between models, it should work on an R56.

Yep predictable. Probably machined out of titanium, powder coated and with MINI5280 engraved in Gothic Script on the side.

Good description Chuck, probably spot on.

Guys at Schomp did an extra special job on the R56 2yr today, changed out the brake fluids.

But hey, I might get a set of those slotted front rotors and XP10 pads, so I have something for the 28th lapping day, not sure how it would work as a DD for week.

But I will come down and help, drink your coffee, at the very least.

Not quite. But I am working on a Mini Jacker-upper thingy. Once I prototype it I'll work on a name.

Don, I'm glad Schomp took care of you, flushing brakes not for the faint of heart. I tend to make big messes with brake fluid, Murphy's or some other..

I've signed up on the calendar. With help, I intend to replace front/rear brake pads (R53) and fluid flush. Maybe an oil change is in the works too (I need to check the mileage). Who knows, maybe something else (maintenance) will turn up by then?

I'll bring my PC and some polish & wax. We can hit a few A pillars to get rid of some swirls.

This is on my calendar, family has been notified. I need to finish my black out, it's only been in work for.... over a year.
Might need help with the lower grill swap. Will finish the tape on the chrome trim. Gotta pick up the brake sensor for the front driver side and replace that too. I can bring my PC too, if someone wants to use it. (I know Gloria needs it bad!) Some paint touch up too. I've been so busy with school and work that she has been seriously neglected.

Grill swap. Not done one, but removing the whole front bumper cover is a snap. (R53?)

Parts sell and swap.

Was suggested by another MINI5280 member, that a Parts sell/swap area be part of this Garage Day.
I have some items that I can add. Bring your extras, take-offs, no needs, want to get rid ofs, anything Mini, and we'll wheel and deal!

Still on my calendar. I'm thinking touch up and drink your coffee.

I will bring a bottle of Banana Gloss to do a few panels on the MINI.

So how much brake fluid should I bring? Remember that I will probably end up spilling and/or drinking more then the MINI needs.

Are you spending big or going with Valvoline? Less painfull to spill Valvoline, and it tastes the same as the "good" stuff.

Don,
Coffee and beer?
