2009 Sandy Crack Rallye
The easiest way to the Lincoln station is to take the Lincoln exit and turn west toward the mountains. The first light after the exit will be Park Meadows Drive, you will turn right and will be going north. Follow Park Meadows Drive for about 1/2 mile and the RTD station will be on your right. We will meet on the very top deck and leave at 7:00 AM.
Call my cell (303.386.6589) if you have difficulties.

Don't forget to gas up before you go. Also radios, sunscreen, hat, water, picnic lunch, sled and $3/person for park fee.
Oh and if you have the new Crack Cleaner 3000 you might want to bring that along too.

Looks to be a good day to fill you're cracks with sand!
Bryan - Sorry you took ill man. That's why I have vowed to never eat again.
Jeremy - Pool, pond - pond would be good for you.
Now to buy liquids and caffeine and head to Lincoln RTD.

Well that was fun. Thanks all that came and got sand in their cracks. Turns out I wasn't really kidding about that. I just got out of the shower and now the bottom of the shower looks like a beach.
Thanks also go to our new crack weather staff. You don't know how close I was to placing another ad, but just past Salida the sky cleared and it was sunshine for the rest of the day.
So now a couple of pictures. A few more on my Flickr.

Thanks again guys and gals.
Oh and I wanted to ask how everyone felt about not imposing a time or route home afterward. I figured some would stay longer then others and didn't want to force anyone to cut their visit short. Did this work or would you have preferred an organized ride back too?

We had so much fun! Completely exhausted from climbing the few dunes that we did. Would've been nice to have seen everyone off....before we knew it, RUDEBOX and lil Valentino were the only MINIs left in the lot. Always fun to drive to and from with the bunch. Rich's mom said you are a great group and thanks for including them.
Here are some of our pictures...a few videos, too.

We just got back from our trip after spending Sunday in Salida. We really enjoyed our first rally of the year, particularly seeing so many old friends again and meeting new ones. Thanks Chuck for putting it all together.
Here's a link to some of our photos.

if we were to rename the day, it would either have been Moist Sandy Crack, or Attack of the killer chili redz!
I demand more of my brethren in black show up for the next rallye I attend, altho My Precious was noble all by himself, another brother never hurts to smack some manners into those red fools.
