It's not a big deal, most folks would probably not do that sequence of events. I should have known it's paypal's code.

MITM4 !NUF Car Show Announced!

Yes, it is true. MITM4 will have it's first !NUF Car Show this year. Here are the details. The Car Show will have four basic categories:
  • Classics (yes, we are celebrating that out here all year)
  • Coopers and Cooper S's
  • Cabriolets
  • Clubmans
Within that, there are sub-categories including:
  • Under Hood
  • Interior
  • Exterior
  • Tires and Wheels
  • Graphics
  • Best Theme
There is no charge for entry into the car show, if you have a Driver Registration to MITM4. There is a small $$ fee if you do not register for MITM4 but you wish to show your vehicle. The registration form will be in your MITM4 packet or you can request it here, and we will send it to you.

The !NUF Car Show will be on Saturday AM, August 8th, on the parking structure at Copper Mountain. Lineup of registered vehicles is at 8 am, judging at 9 am, then the MOTR Minis of the Rockies folks will lead our annual 'Classic Mini Ride' to parts unknown.

Join us, or if you have question, post here. We are happy to answer.

So somebody already asked

what the heck !NUF means.

Look. If Gart's could make a big deal out of SNIAGRAB (originally the result of a typeset error) then we darn sure can have a !NUF car show.

NUF said. Let's have FUN!

How about a little help here, please....

Need your suggestions for some music. Specifically, music that lends itself to Motoring and or MINIs. Reason is, the MITM Band (aka Ted and Matt's Big Adventure, we have had them for MITM2 and MITM3) have asked for suggestions on what we would like them to play this year. They have 60 days to practice and are willing to play 'our' tunes, if we can suggest some.

So get to it. But don't just suggest your favorite tune. Suggest something that lends itself to MINIs, Motoring, Rocky Mountain Highs, Denver.....wait.

John Denver. That's it!

Seriously, we can do better than that. How about your suggestions????

Ralph Schomp MINI Pit Stop and Parts Store

Those of you who have attended MITM in the past have benefitted from the presence of our local MINI dealership, Ralph Schomp MINI. In addition to the significant support Ralph Schomp offers to our event, they also have established a tradition of service and support to our attendees via the 'Ralph Schomp MINI Pit Stop'. Well, this year, Ralph Schomp has raised the bar yet again. In addition to the Pit Stop, Ralph Schomp will also be bringing the Ralph Schomp MINI Parts Store to MITM4.

Yes, the MINI Parts Store. This will include but not be limited to wiper blades, mats, tires and wheels, interior parts, exterior parts, tools and accessories, MINIUSA swag, and more.

Stay tuned for more but do plan to stop by and see our friends at the Ralph Schomp MINI Parts Store...at MITM4! (Get your grille badge holders here.....)

First I had a heart attack...........now I'm just confused. I know, it's not the first time. The following article is in the June-July 2009 MC2 magazine:

and there is an ad on page 61, also with the dates of August 12-16, 2009.

Everywhere else has the dates of August 5-9, 2009..........and I've told those dates to pretty much everybody I know. I'm hoping the 5-9 is correct!!!!

MITM 2009 = AUG 5th thru 9th @ Copper Mtn Resort

Sorry for the confusion. In the rush to meet deadline, we goofed and sent incorrect graphics to MC2 (sorry!). It was discovered too late for correction. The MITM 2009 dates are Aug. 5-9, as stated in the MINIs in the Mountains website: www.MINIsInTheMountains.com . Please register, if you haven't already done so. You'll find full information on the MITM website, including the first annual car show, in addition to the many other activities -- both MITM-related and Copper Mountain Resort-related.

See you there!

The proof is in the pudding, so to speak

Because when you go to www.MINIsintheMountains.com the dates are clear, and you can only register for August 5-9.

The mistake was ours, not that of MC2. We originally gave them those dates, then we changed dates, and did not update them. They have no blame here.

Just use the site as planned to register and all is well.

Thanks,

JPS

Who wants to share a room with me and save some money?
I just booked a 2-bed room there at Copper Mountain for Aug. 6,7,8...totals $402. I am an older single woman and don't care if I share the room with male or female. Doesn't $201 each sound better than $402?

You may want to check back with Copper

for the details. I had a unit like that twice, and one room has two beds. Then, there are sofa sleepers. And a third bath I think. Plus a kitchen. We put about 6 pp in there comfortably. You may be able to cut the price even further.

2 years ago at MITM, they offered inexpensive employee dorm rooms. I was hoping for that. I called again and it was indeed the least expensive room at $139/might. I canceled and am reserving a small room at a bed and breakfast in Frisco...still with 2 'single' beds....half the price. I will still share.

Well I'm all registered, now I just need a couch or spare bed. I'm more than willing to help with the cost. Let me know if someone has anything available. I'll post on the roommate board that Jon created too.

Don't forget to see the MITM4 Disscussion threads

right here in NAM, under National Events (just off the home page). There are dedicated discussion threads there for various items and parts of the events.
