Gil-galad, the best perk was to watch the Red Bull girls wash their MINIs.

You'd think that, being gentlemen

you guys could wash their MINI's FOR THEM?

Whatever. I will give you another shot and invite them back again this year. See what you can do. We'll have plenty of bubbles.

Wait.....bubbles....

Dirty? My MINI is quite clean thank you (and I'm not that old).
Really though this is one of the best things about MITM. The free car wash is fantastic. That and the mountain roads and the scenery and the MINI buds and the temperature.

Another nice mention of MITM4

on Sunday was done on the World Famous White Roof Radio. Hosts DB and Michael Babishkin gave us a nice plug.

In case you don't do it already, WWR has nice little shows each week that are easy to listen to (and sometimes watch) and very easy to download to your iPod, Computer, or just a Zip drive for listening later.

As you all know, Kim Stone of MINI5280 recently did a voice promo specifically for MITM4 and WWR which was played on-air. That got us started, and we are now on the regular monthly 'event' review.

Want to listen yourself? Do it:

Here are the latest updates for jsouz@allstate.com

WRR Event Cast #4

After it’s nearly 3 year hiatus, the WRR Event Cast is back! Michael and I cover all of the events that are coming up. If you have an event you would like us to cover, send it in! You can also call the WRR Hotline at (206) 202-3252 and leave a message. If you mention The World Famous White Roof Radio in your message, we will play it on the show. Follow the jump for links and dates.

MITM4 - Whalen Shift Machine!

For attendees at this year's event, here is something to look forward to:

Doug Whalen of Whalen Shift Machine ( www.whalenshiftmachine.com ) has graciously donated two of the 50th Anniversary Mini Cooper, specially engraved, stainless steel shift machines. There will be one to fit the R53 and another to fit the R56, both with the bead blasted finish.

Please take a look at these fantastic devices at the website above. And join us at MITM4 to take YOUR chances on winning one fo these great devices!

I noticed when I went to the Copper Mountain website that MITM 2009 was NOT on there events calendar and when i clicked on accommodations it gave me a smoking room w/ king bed in Dillion....not where I want to be. Can we get a specific link to the accommodations for our group and part of the block of rooms available?

Bud, you are a bit ahead of the curve

The lodging desk does not yet have our group info. I called them today and expect to get that fixed this week. I will post here and then you can get your pick of the best rooms. No point in being in Dillon...

Update on the Lodging

When you call for Lodging Reservations, please follow these steps:
  1. Call Copper Lodging TF at 866-837-2996 ONLY (don't call the number at www.CopperColorado.com )
  2. Tell them you are with "MINIs in the Mountains" in August
  3. Give them the group code 3GD8K0 (that last digit is a zero)
  4. If problems, ask for the supervisor Chynna but that should not be needed
  5. You are all fixed up.
Thank you for asking for clarification.

When you have the info, I'd like to know what you charge for a booth. I am an artist and am thinking of creating a series of CO mountain landscapes with Mini's in them. Anyone want one with YOUR Mini?

Glad you asked about being a vendor at MITM....

Here is what you need to know:
  • Anyone can be a VENDOR (with a presence) at MITM or a SPONSOR (not present, but with an offering or giveaway to the attendees)
  • Our VENDOR fee is very low and we will keep it that way this year
  • The VENDOR package includes 3 days of space (Th, Fri, Sat) from 8-5 daily on the top level of the parking structure at Copper, where the HOST tent is and where everyone parks
  • The VENDOR package also includes a pop-up tent and a table and a chair for to rest your bones. You can bring your own tent if you so desire.
  • The VENDOR package also includes the Saturday dinner ticket (you will not need to buy it separately)
  • The VENDOR package includes promotion in our website www.MINIsintheMountains.com and in our Event Guide and here in the NAM forums. You are also allowed to put an insert or promo piece in our attendee bags as well.
  • The VENDOR package includes your ability to hang your signage at on or near your tent on the parking structure
  • The VENDOR package includes the attendee (DRIVER) package as will be posted in the site, which includes our gift to you and an event t-shirt in your choice of size
  • All for one low fee.
Rick or I will send you the vendor registration form (actually, very simple) but in the meantime, in order for us to do that, please PM me your full name and contact info including email and we will get that out to you in a few days.

Thanks for asking, and we look forward to having you join in.

Thanks again,

Jonathan and Rick

Registered today. Driver and Passenger with dinners on Sat. eve.

How large is the XXL versus the XL, do they run big?

Rick, you have a little bug in the registration script, when you drop to the second page it will zero your entries, if you change something manually (counts of items) and then do the update button.

Not a big deal, just something that happened, but I canceled ok, then corrected.

Don,
That part of the registration (shopping cart) is entirely managed by PayPal, or it might be related to your browser. I'll try to duplicate the problem.
Thanks,
Rick
