That sounds like me, too.

I'm up for meeting at Cino's for a fill up on caffeine before heading north. It is about an hour to Ft. Collins...meet a Cino's around 8:00?

We need a Ft. Collins member to give us a good meeting point. I know there is a big store (Albertsons, K-Mart or something) on the north end of College on the east side that might work. Just need the store name and address.
I might meet up at Cino's at 8:00 AM. After leaving at 7:00 AM, that would be about the right time for a cupajoe.

Bob, Chuck,

Cinos at 8 works well, grab a cup, sip, hit the road.

You have done the drive up many times Chuck so an hour should do it.

I hope to see you & Jennifer in a MINI, but a bimmer will do.
Vicky, the nice thing about this route is that there are several weather outs.

OK so the plan is still to meet at the south end of the Albertsons parking lot at 9:00 am this Saturday. We will leave by 9:30 AM and head up 14 then down to Masonville then up to Estes and over to Nederland before lunching in WonderVu Café.
We could push it to Sunday if Friday's snow is enough to cause problems so I will make the call Friday evening. Watch this thread for a weather delay if needed.

So i thought that I might be in, but today I got contacted for a photo shoot. Not really something that I can reschedule because it's a family coming up from Texas. The only time that they can meet with me is Saturday so I'll be snapping photos and thinking about you guys driving!

Our participation depends on the weather since RUDEBOX only has summer tires. If we can't go, maybe we'll wave to you from 287 and Hwy 66 in Longmont.

Yankees - whine about never having rides way up north and then using snow as an excuse not to go when there is one.
If it is too snowy then we will postpone it for Sunday or next week. Watch the thread to see.

Exactly, we've got snow tires so we'll be there for sure! Although if it's snowy, don't expect Zephyr to be in his pristine cleanliness as usual...

So it was a bit of a snowy drive down this morning, but it wasn't bad since the roads were still warm from this week. Peak to Peak seemed pretty well cleared, although it is still snowing now and probably throughout the day.

Well to give the crews some more clearing time, would anybody be objectionable to doing this ride on Sunday?

Sunday looks to be better with only a 20% chance of snow. The bulk of the snow was today and tonight.

Sunday works for me!

I'm not up for Saturday, Sunday works better. I will check later for the final decision.

Might even be better in one week.

Man, I suffer from "cranial rectal inversion" (no cure). I thought this ride was NEXT weekend! Needless to say, this weekend is not good for me. A postponement for the following is o.k. by me. (since I have CRI).
It's 2009 right?

So I'm going to postpone the ride until Sunday. Depending on our mountain observers we may need to push it another week. For now, let's plan on Sunday. Watch this thread tomorrow for the next decision.

Where I'm from

we used to call that "****-Cranial Inversion". You know, H.U.Y.A.

Used to have a graphic. Don't anymore.

It may be that this ride will have to happen next Saturday. I talked to the WonderVu Café this morning and she said the roads there were very slick and they were to get more snow this evening and tomorrow.
Keep an eye on this thread later today and I will let you know.
Stupid snow - in January no less - who would have thunk it?

I would think next Saturday would be better. Supposed to be in the 50s on Friday and Saturday.

Let us know, I'm thinking I will stay snuggled on Sunday morning.
