Amp Install...Where?

I'm looking for a quality installer preferably with MINI experience and insured. Anyone know of someone or place?

try CarToys at Park Meadows. The guy who installed my system - his dad owns a MINI and I think he "may" be a member of mini5280??? They did an awesome job, kinda pricy, but you get what you pay for. I can email you pics of mine if you want them

I think MiniDaMoocher decided to give it a go himself. The parts come in next week, and he is driving down here and we are gonna get that puppy installed.

Thanks Riley, much appreciated, but I have some stuff coming up in early July which forced me to make a decision a couple days ago. As Jon indicates I ended up going with a system which is advertised as truly plug and play and we are going to install it this week. If it turns out that it doesn't work as advertised, I will definitely give you a call.

How'd the install go? I chose to use a Pioneer AVIC-N4 and replaced the h/k with a Kenwood amp that fits nicely under the seat. So far I haven't swapped the speakers, but that's mostly because I had to do a lot to get the GPS and XM antennas out of sight.

Very curious what you went with?

Crutchfield sells a Blaupunkt amp and separate plug and play harness, which is what I am trying. I know they don't have the rep they did 20 years ago, but I'm not that big of an audiophile so it shouldn't matter. The amp was supposed to be here today, but at this moment it is still unclear whether we will be able to get it installed today or worst case wait for the weekend. I'll let you know once it's in how it went and sounds.
