it has been raining steady down here for about 1.5 hrous now, but the radar looks a bit clearer up north. Anyway, so much for the clean car ...guess I will just need to wash it and wax it again after the rain lets up...

well, it was a great lunch. 6 MINIs, a bunch of Audis, some great people, new and old friends . I brought my camera, but never took any pictures, haha.

Just got back home to Parker...sunny all the way back , it was raining all the way up, so my car was all dirty :(

 

It was a good lunch, good folks to enjoy and meet. I took pictures, so I will upload some later to my usual place, see my sig.

Nice meeting all the MINI folks, Audi and VW folks. 03, you have entertained/attracted a lot of crazy car folks with your varied car ownership, good job on lunch call.

Nice to meet everybody at my first Mini encounter. Don, thanks for the pix. And now I know who I'm going to ask regarding tech questions (03). Just listening to the stories tells me I've got lots to learn. What HAVE I gotten mysef into?? And WHY did I wait so long??

 

I am really looking forward to hanging out with everyone again. We will be doing more lunches, at least once a month, some south, some north, etc.

Don, Vinny, Tommy, JP, great meeting you guys. Tommy, I started a thread about the Thursday drive to MITM, make sure to check that out and let me know what you think.

thanks for the compliments on the car, still have some more stuff on order, just got UPS notifications of the new toys that are on the way, haha. Can't wait to show everyone at MITM.

Lunch was awesome. so much fun, so many cool people. Great time. And the burgers at Jim's are wonderful!!! I stuck to a small double with cheese, but their large 6" burgers are to die for

We WILL be doing this again, I had so much fun, been too long since I spent time with MINI folks

 

Ya it was great to meet you guys! Your guys cars looked awesome!!

Cant wait to meet again and dig in more about my future mod. list

03, I think I saw in another thread that you work during the weekends so you can't do weekend drives? Would you be up for putting together a weeknight drive somewhere? Folks would probably be interested, given enough notice.

If you let Rick Gonzales (pauhana) know, he can put it on the MINI5280 calendar.

Dianne, you are correct, I work Friday night to Monday morning, night shifts at a hospital. I would love to do a weeknight drive....we could meet at a central location in Denver and get some dinner, then do a little drive.

Maybe we can plan something for September, after all the MITM stuff dies down

Anyone have any suggestions for a date in September? I can only really do occasional Monday, but can do every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday nights due to my sleep schedule, etc.

 

The second Tuesday of the month is the MINI5280 meeting - if you coordinate with Rick, maybe the meeting that month could be dinner and a drive. Or a Thursday might be good (probably not the 13th, though, as the Colorado Conclave is that weekend).
