I took these out of my engine just to replace them with 9.5:1 CR pistons and rods because I’m looking to double the power from my N14. There is nothing wrong with these pistons at all. No cracking, overheating, warping, etc.
The weakest point of the MCS engine is the junk pistons. These forged pistons are a heck of an upgrade over the OE brittle aluminum that the MCSs come with. Furthering that, the weakest point of the stock JCW engine is the soft connecting rod bolts. Upgrading them to ARP bolts will give you a reliable +300WHP capable engine setup, and it’s all right here. You don't have to worry about improper fitment or any compatibility issues since these are Genuine MINI components.
This entire setup retails for $1920USD + tax (1200 pistons, 640 con rods, 80 ARP bolts). I’m willing to let all of this go for $800 + shipping + 3% PP fees if not sent as Friends and Family. If you have any questions, feel free to message me. I'm happy to help.
