R56 R56 MCS Engine Toque Specs
R56 MCS Engine Toque Specs
I’m looking for torque specs for the N14 engine. Is there a comprehensive listing anywhere? I can’t seem to find one anywhere on the internet. I’ve come across some and entered them below but can't find a good reference which lists them all.
Cylinder Head Bolts:
Intake Camshaft Sprocket Bolt: 20NM +180 deg
Exhaust Camshaft Sprocket Bolt: 20NM + 90 deg
Bolts to Attach upper & lower block sections:
Oil Pump drive sprocket bolt:
Connecting Rod Bearing Cap Bolts:
Camshaft bearing cap bolts:
Crankshaft Dampener Bolt: 50NM + 180 deg
I believe that the head bolts, cam sprocket bolts and oil pump sprocket bolt are TTY and should be replaced at every use.
Are there any other critical torques I might need?

Haynes online has charts they are in a couple of spots it took me a bit to find them all, they also have some tips that differ from the Bently so its worth it. If I remember correctly the shoulder bolts that locate the timing guide are too high I use a standard metric torque number you can find a chart on line. Be careful with the surfaces of the timing cams and crank shaft sprockets I clean them with alcohol just before so there is no residue
