Works with all operating systems. I used this with iPhone (DashCommand App), and Windows 7 (ScanXL program), have not tried it with Android.

Setup is extremely easy, just plug it in. The device has an on/off pushbutton. It will turn off after a period of inactivity so you shouldn't have to worry about draining your battery.

I used this with a 2013 MCS - please confirm that it will work with your model and year.
