This door lock broke where most of them probably do- at the rear, where the thing that turns with the key attaches to it. If anybody needs anything else. like the little door, spring, silver ring, dog bone looking thing in the back, etc. just PM me and I'll put it in the mail to you, no charge.

is this the actuator that pops the lock up? apparently mines gone bad because the fob does not open my drivers side?

 

What is pictured above is the actual door lock. If you can lock and unlock the door with your key, this part is most likely fine. If you put the key in and it spins around without doing anything it is probably bad.

This is a link to the actuator- the thing that pops the door lock when you press the remote button. It is common for those to go bad. I ordered and installed a new one from Way Motor Works and I must say, it sounds better and more robust than the original one ever did. Maybe they are making them better these days.
