I had an issue with my LSD and decided to rip the clutch out while we were in there. This thing is a royal PITA on a daily driver and I could not stand having it in the car any longer.

It's great on a track when you're not doing stop and go...stop and go...

Don't even consider buying this if you want to put it in your daily driver, you will start hating your car because of it.

OK, so, when I sent my LSD off for warranty work to OS Giken I sent the clutch along for them to evaluate as well (I saw some uneven wear on the pressure plate and wanted to be sure it's still ok). I had this on a track car for a year, and didn't want to sell a worn out part to anyone.

Here's their reply:

Regarding the clutch, it visually looks to have pretty normal wear characteristics. Are you getting some slipping or something?
- The pressure plate has slightly uneven wear (noted by “shiny” spots on one side), we have seen other STR clutches with similar wear patterns and I’m not sure if that is something unique to STR clutches for some reason.
- The disk still has plenty of friction material on there; I did not notice abnormal wear patterns. One side may have a little less material than the other, but unless the clutch is slipping then that type of wear can be considered pretty normal.
- Flywheel surface also has some heat spotting, but nothing abnormal
- Cover looks good, with normal wear.

The clutch is far from slipping. That's actually the problem with it. Engagement is so sudden, and so "hard" that it really is a pain in any sort of traffic.

Comes with new cover bolts and installation manual.

I will post some pics later.
